Dad and I went over to Kaarst to meet Herr Strauss who is the director of the Kaarster Nepal Initiative which is an organisation that tries to support and develop possibilities for children in Nepal (http://www.ngo-forum.de/). They work with Deepak in Nepal who is running a similar organisation Child Welfare and Education (http://cwehome.org.np/contact).
We got to know Herr Strauss through our neighbours in Kleinenbroich and I hope to be able to meet up with Deepak and maybe give them a hand for a couple of days. Either way it was very nice to meet with Herr Strauss and get some more inside information to the initiative and the country.
After we got home and had some lunch I quickly met our other neighbours Anne and Helmut and then it was already time for my aunt and uncle to arrive. We had a good chat and caught up on my plans before we left for dinner. Initial plan was to go to Vennen this evening but in Liedberg was a film crew setting up their rigs around the Sandbauernhof. Vennen was closed so we went over to Korschenbroich and each of us had a very large amount of food at the Anker.
Back at home we continued story telling and called it a late night at 3 am (if there is a saying like that?).
