Aside from packing my bags Yuni and I had come up with a comprehensive list of activities for the last two days together.
I used up all the Oranges to make juice which we enjoyed. Yuni was off to work with a family for while. I used that time to get everything together and stuff it in one of my two backpacks. Surprisingly it was much less and lighter than I thought. The big backpack accumulated to only 13 kg where the small carry-on was only 6 kg. This is significantly less than I usually take over for a week in Germany... I either forgot half my stuff or I should apply more thought to what I pack next time I'm going to Germany.
When Yuni came back we were both quite hungry and our plan was to visit favourite lunch escape, "Taylor's at Three Rock", a very nice, old Road house pub/restaurant, with a thatched roof and a fireplace, just down at the bottom of Three Rock. The main attraction of this place, however is the menu, which includes great chicken wraps for 5€. Unfortunately we were not able to get this the last two times we were there because of bank holidays and special menus. Today was Saturday, but unfortunately there was another menu there. Not sure if we will ever get our chicken wraps again.
Next stop was the shopping centre, where we wanted to have a look at a new Camera for Yuni. The Canon EOS 100D was surprisingly light and compact and suited Yuni's needs. We were not going to get it today but kept it on the radar. After some more shopping back home we looked at some tests and reviews and both came to the conclusion this is probably the right thing for Yuni, to do some nice beginner shooting.
In the evening I also went across the road to say final goodbye to Johan and Angela.
One other item on the TO-DO list was a visit to the Cinema. Yuni was telling me about this film with a Korean Actor (the one from Oldboy). The film was called "Lucy" and I had no Idea what it was about. It started off brilliant... great cuts and amazing atmosphere and acting... until it all fell down when the film go mental... well, ok, it wasn't bad in the end but I would have preferred if it stayed like the first 30 minutes... it was a bit like "from Dusk till Dawn!".
Worth a watch though.
