I could only find a place where I could wash 5 kg of laundry for 80 peso, but I only had 1.5 kg and there was no deal to be cut. So I had to continue my search over half the island but couldn't find anything, so I had to go back and go with 80 peso.
Back at the hostel I contacted Basti and Lisa again and we went for a long walk eastward along the north shore to find flamingos and crocodiles that were pictured on our map. We couldn't find either of the, but nonetheless it was a nice walk through some shallow water and we did see a lot of crabs and birds.
Also, along the way the water got even clearer, but then, a little further out, about 5 km from the town the water got muddy again. So we turned around and headed back to the nicest part and went for a quick dip in the sea before walking back to the town.
By now the tide was coming up and the very shallow parts on the way out had become somewhat deep now, going up to our bellies. We didn't bring any dry bags, only backpacks, so we had to raise our phones and cameras high above the water... and the tide was still coming in.. and ther was still a good bit of a walk left to get back to the town. On our left there as only jungle and no path to get back over dry land... but we (and our electronics) survived this little adventure and made it back to dry land.
Now we were all really hungry and decided to go for Fajitas again. There is not much choice in this town during lunch time, as a lot of restaurants are still closed and the street stands are not open yet.
Lunch was followed up by a nice siesta on the beach, before I could go and pick up my laundry again.
As Lisa and Basti wanted to enjoy their last night with a romantic evening it was just (the other Lisa) and I to meet up at the beach again this evening. Lisa had already met two more Germans at her Hostel, Carolin and Holger, so we were back in a group of four again. Why change a working recipe? So we did the same as yesterday, go get food at taco stands in the square and drink a few beers at the beach and chat.
After this Holger and I went to see a live Band at the Tribu Hostel but we didn't stay very late. It was a long walk through the sand today, so I was tired and went off to bed.
