I'm sitting here on 35000 feet and we just encountered some turbulence. We are just above the northern tip of Malaysia and have about an hour left till we arrive in Singapore. Should be there by 16:35 local time.
It's time to catch upon the bog. After my stroll home from the poker night on Thursday night I didn't really enjoy getting up on friday morning. However it had to be done. As to be expected I wasn't the only one late in the office. Fuelled up with a couple of cups of water and a big coffee I followed up on some emails. I had most of my expenses, over time and admin stuff done yesterday.
Luckily the office was quite and there were no major incidents. Lunch consisted of an new exploration which Kieran and I did. It was a sandwich bar called MYO (by now i also know that that stands for “Make Your Own”) in which you can create your own sandwiches, wraps and pizzas by just walking around the buffet and picking up anything and placing it onto your wrap.
Unfortunately the sheer wealth of choice had the result, that I couldn't close my wrap anymore and had to eat it with knife and fork.
Anyway, easing out the day the “out of office” message was set up at 17:00 and off Iwent. Oh, no I still hadn't been around to get my Malaria pills. So I went over the the Pharmacy and hoped to get some. Unfortunately you need a prescription for Malarone (which the Tropical Medical Buero doctor told me were best). He apparently even gave me a piece of paper, but I hadn't realized it was a prescription. Luckily the pharmacist was very helpful and suggested to call the TMB to send a fax with the prescripton. All this worked out well and now I did get my drugs.
Easing out the day on the couch “Intouchables” on the screen.
