Admin day....

Today I wanted to figure out how I would get my Visa for Cuba sorted. One option was to go to Canberra and apply for it at the embassy, another option would be to apply in Santiago de Chile or apply online with an agency and get it sent to some place where I can pick it up along the way.

Canberra was out as I would not have enough time. So I called up an agency and sent them an email to see how we could get it sent to an address somewhere along the way. I could potentially apply with all the details online, get it sent from the agencies Dublin office to my home address and get Yuni to send it to my friend Mattias in Santiago de Chile where I could pick it up in a month or so.
Pretty complicated and expensive, though.

While reading up on these options I figured out that you can also simply apply at the counter of AriCubana at Cancun Airport before you board the plane.

This seems to be easier and cheaper than the other options. So Why not fly to the beautiful Mexican Costa del Maya for a couple of days and go to Havana from there.

This plan further developed while checking flights so I ended up booking nearly all my remaining flights. I have a date when I will be arriving back in Europe again. I will be landing in London on the 21st of April. From there I plan to make my way by train and ferry back home. Arrive in Style!

After spending plenty of money on skyscanner and working out general itinerary of the rest of my trip we went for my leaving dinner to a local Italian in Leichhardt.

I had Cannelloni and Karsten and I shared a bottle of Italian wine which resulted in a very jolly walk back home and some last rounds of our favourite Card game.
