Melbourne with a local guide

Today Brad was going to show me his town. Melbourne!

Kerry and Jerry also joined us for the ride. We drove through the through many different suburbs and neighbourhoods, from old and little bit run down with many small restaurants and little shops to posh areas with loads of private schools and large properties.

We passed by the Sport grounds with the Tennis court where the Australian Open was about to kick off and the Asia Cup had it's opening game just two days ago.

All this scenic driving brought us to St. Kilda. The famous beach front neighbourhood where all the hip people live or just go for a fancy coffee. It's a lot "see and to be seen" around here, but it still has a nice atmosphere.

The Esplanade (the old beach front venue where AC/CD, midnight Oil and other Australian Bands started their careers) and the big Clown face of Luna Park (which is the slightly younger brother of Coney Island in NYC).

We spent some time walking up and down the boulevard and turned in at an good ole Aussie Pub, the Village Belle Hotel for some Roast and a pitcher of VB.

After we restocked our energy levels we went back to the car, bought some cakes at one of the many pastry shops, saw plenty of old mustangs and drove over to Station Pier where the the big Cruise Ships dock when they are in town.

Here we enjoyed watching some new water sport activities with jet packs, or rather jet feet.

Back home Jerry was very excited to show me his XBox 360 Game "GTA V" where I broke one of his jet planes while trying to fly underneath a bridge and he had to buy a new one. Sorry for that Jerry ;-)
For dinner we had Pizza and watched some TV while the cat enjoyed sticking it's hairs all over my cloths.
