So far, when I stayed at a hostel for a couple of days I booked only a day or maybe two and then extended my stay every morning, just in case I decided to move on spontaneously. So far this has always worked for me but this morning there were no beds available in the Siem Reap Hostel (not surprising, since it's a great hostel) so I had to move.
Luckily I was in Siem Reap (the tourist capital of Cambodia) and there was a hostel not 200 m down the road.
It was 5$ instead of 8$ at the previous one but there was no common area, no pool, no TV room and the staff didn't seem to be interested to help any guests.
Not to worry though, I settled in pretty quickly and met a girl from Brazil and we went out for a bit of lunch.
It was quite hot today and I though after lunch I may relax in the air-conditioned room for a while before heading back for my last day in Angkor.
That was a mistake: once I lay down on the bed, I thought a quick nap would be nice and I slept for two or three hours.
I was so wrecked from cycling around the place yesterday (and probably the busy couple of days before), that I just wanted to chill for a bit.
After dinner I went to the X-Bar (sounds more sinful than it is) for a beer with an American lad and then it was time for bed already, because we booked boat tickets to get to Phnom Pehn for early next morning.
