Meeting more Mates

For lunch I met up with my colleagues at the food court on Abbey Street. It was great to seem them again and I realized I didn't know where to start the stories.

Since (if you have read my blog thoroughly you will know that) my hiking boots have disappeared in Kathmandu, I went to the same shop and got the same model, same size again (being back from Asia I even haggled them down by 9 €) and also looked for a new backpack. On the way to Koh Tao one of the back support steel rod broke. I could only find bags where I didn't like the layout, size or quality, or they were really expensive. So I decided to mend my 11 year old backpack and try to let it survive the second half of my trip.

Since Sundays Macaroons baking session was only a practice round we were going to have some more baking this evening again, but would also have nice Samyoepsal (Korean BBQ pork) for dinner with our friends.

I got some Kimchi and the necessary materials to mend my backpack and went home. The Macaroons were a full success and the Samyoepsal dinner was even better. Also my backpack took shape and is looking like it could survive another 4 months of ruthless baggage handlers.
