Over the Bridge

One thing you have to do in Sydney is to get on top of the Harbour Bridge to have a good view over the harbour, and if it's only one of the Pylons.

This should be on my list for today.

I guess because I went to bed early again I woke up early as well. After a relaxing breakfast and some time at home I took the tram into town and walked my "usual route" over Prymont bridge through the BCD to the Harbour bridge. This time I got up onto the harbour bridge and at the south eastern Pylon entered the little museum about the construction of the bridge. It was really interesting and I enjoyed my time. The visit was crowned with a great view from the 89m high Pylon looking over the Victoria Harbour and the Opera House.

While I was here I thought why not continue my way across the bridge to the North side of Sydney and have a look there.

Just at the base of the north end of the bridge I found a nice little burger place that served a nice little burger... (yes, that is surprising).

While I sat there I tried to find something to do in the area and found a nice walk along one of the bays that my phone suggested me to do.

The Cremorne Point to Mosman Walk Bay Walk was just a couple of minutes down the road and from the map the walk there should be nice as well.

The walk took me through very upmarket neighbourhoods, with large houses facing the harbour and the opera house, but once in a while there was a nice little cottage in between.

With the weather just being perfect (sunny, not too hot, not too cold) I really thought, this area is one of the nicest place on earth to live (if you have money).

It was a beautiful walk along the water to Cremorne Point and into Mosman Bay.

From here I took one of the regular ferries across the bay back to Sydney Cove and I just thought how cool it would be if you lived here and had to commute into the BCD by ferry every morning.
It was just 15 or 20 minute ride... I could live with that. :-)

Unfortunately my phone slipped out of my pocket on the ferry and hit the hard steel floor, so that I now have a crack on my screen. It's not a huge one but if you are looking for it you'll see it.

Since my feet were getting weary a bit I decided to get back to the train station and get back to Leichhardt.

Back at home we enjoyed an evening chatting away looking at pictures and telling stories.
It was Friday and tomorrow Lulu and Karsten were going to be off work.
