Day in, Day out...

I won't lie, my head did not feel as fresh as it could have, but I did not have any regrets about the night before. It was a good decision to go and have a beer with the guys, just for the sake of studying and learning the language, of course.
I felt good in class, Spanish, the verbs, the nouns, the grammar, it all started to make sense. Speaking wasn't that hard at all. It was a bit like skiing, where you have this period, on the fourth day of the course, where you think, this is all so easy!
And then you get a bit cocky and plant you face in a big pile of snow.
The verbal equivalent of that face plant was, when Ricardo introduced us to the verb ser and estoy. Both mean "be" but in different situations, that I can now no longer recall.
This was a mental bit of a setback. Despite this setback, I really enjoyed the class and visited the optional communciations class in the afternoon.
Same sort of group as on Tuesday, but to day we played a game. We had to describe, to our partner, across the table a famous person, but were not allowed to use, the country they are from nor were we allowed to name any famous films, books or pieces of art he did.
I was surprisingly a fun game and we even got a few points (but didn't win).
On the way back to the hostel I even continued my practice with a French guy from the school, who was heading the same direction.
After this intense day of studying I just had some food and took a rest, had a nap and wrote on my blog a bit.
No alcohol today... for sure!
Around midnight the fellow hostel inhabitants tried to convince me to come out to some sort of BBQ party at another hostel... I was not even tempted to be honest and stayed back at home.
But this is just to give you an idea of how much temptation to party is out there in the hostel all the time. It's hard life!
