Another festival in Kathmandu

Diwali was on and nearly all the places were closed, so we stayed at the hostel for the majority of the morning and only ventured out after lunch. A small group of us found a spot where we could have lemonades and teas and had wifi.

Some time ago back in Dublin, I was having a nice Pint of Guinness with a Dave Pitts, a colleague from Potters Bar and we realized that we both would be in Kathmandu around the end of October and decided to meet up. Today was going to be the day, Dave and Nicki were going to head back to London in the morning and were just back from their Annapurna Sanctuary trek. We met up at a Bar, and the owner, seeing out thirst, decided to open up the rooftop bar specifically for us.

So we went up what felt like 20 flights of steps (probably it was only 4 or 5) and sat down on the rooftop over Kathmandu with the sun setting behind some scattered clouds and a cold beer in our hands.

I also got a delivery of Haribo and Maoam from Dublin with the Carbon Footprint of a North Korean Coal Power plant that was sent over to by my team lead Alex to Potters Bar and then joined Dave and Nicki on their trip to Nepal. Thanks Alex for the Sweets... I shared them with everyone in the Hostel that same night.

We talked a bit about the exciting experiences we had over the last couple of days and a little bit about work back home and then headed back to our ho(s)tels. - Thanks for the beers Guys!
